Holiday Inn Express - Huntsville Space Center an IHG Hotel

Negatives: Also for not like that your map is not very good and this place was 30 miles and an hour drive out of my way!!!

Negatives: It takes a long time to get deposit back.

Negatives: Cheaper

Negatives: The lighting in the bathroom (too low), the pool was a bit dirty. The convenient store inside the hotel next to the front desk was no stocked adequately.

Negatives: Front desk staff really irritated me. I called ahead to ensure facility was pet friendly. She said yes and since we were arriving so late (2am) she wouldn't charge pet deposit for that night. Great! Next morning we took our pet (very well mannered mini pig) out to potty and were greeted by disapproving looks from housekeeping staff. Shortly after the looks, there was a knock at the door. It was front desk staff. She seemed disgusted and acted very rudely when asking about our pet. Told us we'd have to leave immediately. I asked if there was a policy stating pet pigs were not allowed, she yelled "yes" at me. I asked her to show me the policy, and if it was in there we would be fine with leaving. She stated she would speak with the manager or owner and call my room to let me know. After waiting approx. 45 minutes for a call, (which made us late for our plans), I finally got tired of waiting and called her. She said we were permitted to stay and proceeded to charge the pet deposit, which was fine I understood the policy ...but she charged the wrong card without my knowledge and overdrafted my account. The rest of the stay she was rude and short with both adults in our family. We stayed at a la Quinta in Huntsville on the way back from our vacation, they welcomed us and our pig warmly and with open arms...literally the staff all hugged and petted him. We will definitely not be using holiday inn Express hotels again in the future. We travel frequently all over the country and Holiday inn in Huntsville was the first and only hotel to ever give us an issue with our pig or make us feel unwelcomed. Our room was just as it was upon leaving as when we entered it, and I felt the need to take pictures of everything before we left because of how rude she was I wouldn't have put it past her to claim we wrecked the room and charged us cleaning fees.

Negatives: Trash was not taken out of my room on the weekends much as I paid for this room the trash at least should have been taken out of the room during my entire stay

Negatives: Hotel had signs in bathroom saying if you forgot any toiletries then you could get them from the hotel. My wife forgot a comb, but when she called the front desk and asked if she could get one, she was told there weren't any available.

Negatives: We ended up walking out and not staying. Someone was getting arrested in front of the hotel and when we walked in it stunk. They said it was because it has been raining. Which didn’t make sense because it did not stink outside. I wasn’t going to take the chance that the room would stink too.
