The hotel is in a horrible area. Doors had to be closed for the night, and there were lots of shady figures loitering around the building. Anyone from the street can get in the pool area since the doors don't close properly. There was a small fire at the hotel a week before our stay and the sprinkler system went off in the hallways (apparently the rooms were not affected). When we arrived, these huge and very loud machines were being operated 24/7 in the hallways to drain up the water from the carpet, walls etc. The hotel had not notified us beforehand, so we did not have the chance to decide whether to look for alternative accommodation or stay there anyway despite these circumstances. We learned about the issue at check-in when we saw and heard! the machines and asked. Since these loud machines operated during the night too, it was as if you had to sleep next to an airplane engine. The staff at the front desk was not friendly and absolutely not helpful at all.

Breakfast was good, but the stay was not good at all. During the check-in, they gave my guess a lot of trouble. I wasn't present, but my guests' names were at the check-in. They said that they needed a confirmation number, and my ID, confirmation number was sent to me by e-mail, but they wanted to talk to me. I was on the plane at the moment.

There was a lot of noise, and the fans were in the hallway, which made it very hard to rest. I was not happy at all.

The elevator was out of order so we had to carry our suitcases upstairs. When we arrived at our assigned room it was dirty, bed was still left unmade from the previous tenants and it smelled like urine. So we had to trudge everything bad downstairs. We were given a new room that was at least clean, but the TV didn't work and was never fixed during out stay. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, the toilet seat was super loose so it felt like you were going to slip off every time you sat down. The homeless people in the parking lot doing drugs was very uncomfortable and unnerving to see. I really believe that there should be a security guard to keep them off the property to make your guest feel safe, which we didn't feel safe, just saying! We did ask for a discount on our stay, which we were given 10% which we thought was somewhat ridiculous, but the staff said that that was all that they were allowed to do. We definitely will pick a different hotel chain in the future. And unfortunately for you guys we have a lot of friends and family who travel and we will definitely NOT recommend you.
