Positives:
Very clean, decent value, comes with breakfast. Staff were friendly.
Negatives:
Maintenance is a problem. Staff gave decent responses for some issues but not others. We had issues with the in-room coffee machine (lacked coffee pod-holder), microwave (some buttons don’t work), one of the TVs (no signal), a missing TV remote, another remote that had dead & corroded batteries), shampoo & body wash dispensers were empty, and the wash basin in one of the suites drained very poorly.
Even the lobby door had stopped working at one point and trapped us inside for a bit until someone had to release the door manually.
On a different problem, I didn’t like that the breakfast was exactly the same basic potatoes/scrambled eggs/ground sausage bits everyday for all 5 days.

Positives:
The room was well sized. The kitchen was nice and had lots of fridge space. The couch and desk area we’re great and the bed was comfortable.
Negatives:
The bathroom sink was dirty and filled with hair and was completely clogged. Asked for maintenance to come twice but never had anyone show up. Doesn’t seem like the room has ever been vacuumed and the bathroom was really gross.

Very comfy, home style. AC good, roomy, had working appliances, blow dryer, iron and breakfast available on premises.
Negatives:
Could use lil more cleaning there was webs in higher areas. Minor damages on a few corners of wall. A small hole on other wall, rug torn between doors, 1 restroom door didn’t lock. Small cracks on bath tile. However manager said they were still in process of renovating and that rooms get check on a daily so they know what the rooms defects are. I think this is good and important so new tenants don’t get charge for something they didn’t do.

It was in a good location for the Arizona Mills Mall and other attractions.
Negatives:
I found this particular Sonesta Suites property to be disappointing. The room was clean enough, but the bathroom corners were moldy, and there were people smoking everywhere, which seeped under the door. The property was too close to a busy boulevard where there were homeless folks, and it was not gated or with a security guard. The staff was indifferent at best both during check-in and check-out. The toilet paper was like sandpaper, so we had to go to a pharmacy to get proper TP. We also had to replace the batteries in the remote control. The phone in the room was disconnected, so we could not call the lobby for help. It really wasn't a good value for the money spent. In general, I would not recommend this property.

The room I got had a broken toilet paper holder, though they tried to make it seem like it was not broken. There were also large gaps around the door to the room, large enough I could easily see daylight around the entire door. It's also close to the freeway so lots of noise.

The front desk lady was amazing. We initially didn't like our room, but after speaking with her, she immediately changed our room per our preferences and it made our experience so much better. This was on the night of April 21st, 2024.
Negatives:
The tub was a little dirty and the dishes could have been cleaner. There was also trash that hadn't been taken out of our room previously. It's all small stuff, nothing that impacted our stay in any way though.
