The location being in downtown Berkeley was convenient. There is BART stop and food shops steps away. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for the most part.
Negatives:
Overpriced for the value. Room overlooked a construction/ demolition site that was very noisy. The quickest way from our room to the lobby was a maze of hallways.

From the front desk clerk Olivia to the entire staff of this hotel made my stay a very pleasant experience by upgrading me at the very first check-in to upgrading me when the AC wasn’t working in my room and then sending me a care packet with champagne and bath bombs for my bath they made my state an exceptional experience!
Negatives:
There’s no free parking for this hotel and I had to park across the street and pay for parking!

Positives:
location is right next to a bart and a target. very convenient location for getting around without a car.
the staff is super friendly and helped me swap to a better room. the staff and location are the positives for my stay, but overall i wouldn’t stay here again.
Negatives:
no soundproofing, heavy construction right outside my hotel room. the design of the bathroom door is faux glass and impossible to block out the light that shines through the bathroom :( if you are light or sound sensitive, i wouldn’t stay here.

Central location is excellent for visiting the campus and adjacent areas.
The Zino restaurant is great.
Love the peace sign at the entryway.

Not much you can do about the homeless people living on the street, it's an unfortunate situation. They were courteous when asking for handouts.
