I love the Claremont, the location, the idea of it. But it could be so much better.

I didn't like when I attempted to check in the hotel could not find my reservation. It seems there was another Christopher Mullen that canceled the reservation. This was embarrassing and problematic. The Limewood which is the main dining option at the hotel is a disaster.

We loved the clubhouse amenities. We spent time at the outdoor pool area, indoor fitness center and locker room spa, steam room, and sauna. Everything about the clubhouse house area was spectacular.
We ate at the restaurant and had room service too. The convenience of on-site dining was great, but the prices were astronomical for what we got.
The rich history of the hotel is amazing. Pictures from the past throughout the hallways made the interior really cool to experience.
Negatives:
We are not typical complainers, but I feel we need to warn future customers.
The roof construction was awful. We stepped into our room and were greeted by construction workers outside of our window drilling and hammering. There was no mention or warning given when we checked in, and when we complained, there wasn't any discount or accommodations offered. They told us it would only be from 9am - 5pm daily. It was very disappointing that we couldn't have any rest quiet time in our room during our stay.
Also, we loved that there was dining in the hotel and room service, but boy were the prices high. The room service cheeseburger was over $30 for a basic meal. Steak was almost $70. The food wasn't anything special, but the fact that we should have doordashed food from outside restaurants was disappointing.
If anyone is considering staying, definitely ask if the roof construction is completed. If it isn't, stay elsewhere until it is.
