The fitness and the room.
Negatives:
The number of tables for breakfast on a Sunday morning at 9am was not sufficient so we had to eat with four adults at a table of 1-2 people.
It would be great to have a clearer communication on the shuttle service to the airport after 10 am. There were conflicting messages between our check-in and the day itself, which led us to wait for 35 minutes for a shuttle. Fortunately we factored in additional time for arrival at the airport.

Positives:
Breakfast was good, not a huge selection but perfectly fine. Beds were firm and comfortable. Room was a good size. We were able to check in early. Took an Uber to Venice and Hermosa Beach, around $50 US return for each trip but felt we saved on hotel price so worked out well.
Negatives:
The shuttle was a bonus for the property being free with the airport so close but the phone numbers were wrong and I was unable to call from my phone. The airport info desk kindly helped but the pick up system wasn’t the best, the vans would hardly pull in to check if you were waiting for them and the sign for Hyatt Place was wayyyyy too small to see, a small square on the side at the rear. Once you knew it was there it was clear but not obvious like other hotel shuttles.

Positives:
The location is good. However, you can’t just drive up to the lobby and get dropped off with your bags. Going to the lobby requires you at both entrances to drive into a paid parking lot that clearly says $30 a day. Since I was getting dropped off by my son and we were not parking the car I walked from outside the parking lot to the lobby entrance. When I inquired about it the evening staff was quite rude and acted like I was stupid because I didn’t push the button to a $30 a day parking lot. They tell me oh there’s a sign to push the help button. clearly wasn’t. There’s no sign that says if you’re checking in, push the help button and we will let you in. This is the most ridiculous set up I’ve ever seen to get to a hotel lobby and I travel a lot.
Other great things about this property, the morning staff, it was very clean and the shuttle to airport was great!
Negatives:
The access to the front lobby, the evening staff at check in.
