Positives:
Location for our needs. Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was great with many options and well attended by the hosts. Location to outside restaurants and shopping is phenomenal with the development of Bay St. and surrounding areas. Walking to the marina area with views of the Bay, San Francisco and both bridges is awesome. Laura, our reservations contact, prior to, when we arrived and during our stay was so attentive and helpful with all our questions, etc. Will definitely visit again in future visits to the East Bay area.

The continental breakfast was bomb!! They even have a little bar, and also in the morning served Starbucks if you wanted it. We stayed on the sixth floor, me and my sister, and there was a let out couch, we didnt need it, but if youre staying with more than two people, let out couch is a good option to have. Our room on the sixth floor had a little view, it was just the train tracks, and you could see the city. But I loved the aesthetic. I would totally stay here again. Nearby there are movie theaters, restaurants, shopping centers, a super good location to chill and have things to do we visited for a reunion, and some things fell through so we had to stay in the room, but we were able to get out and experience the walkway & the shops I loved it.
Negatives:
The staff was OK, a little nonchalant. I believe when you have customers and people walking through you should have a more professional demeanor. Walking up some of the ladies were sitting talking in the front with blankets and etc.. are there was little, mishap that happen in the room. Me and my sister experience ants, in the bathroom. Which I know it is the season for ants, but I think they were attracted to the water. They were a whole trail of ants when we woke up and we hadnt even eaten in the bathroom or in the room yet. So when we went downstairs to address it, the guy kind of shrugged it off and said oh Ill have somebody come up and spray it. it was a little inconvenient because I even woke up with a couple answer my face, lol. But overall the trip was actually very nice and I really enjoyed the room.

Staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, nicely appointed, well decorated. The bed was comfortable; the couch was too low and too soft.
Negatives:
The location if difficult to reach, with confusing freeway interchanges, E.G., the "MacArthur Maze" has that title for a reason.

Beyond basic lodging and room cleaning, there was not much of a Hyatt feel. Lobby services were lacking and the team was more interested in their mobile phones than with guests.

Ill stay at the full service Hyatt up the road the next time I need to hotel in the S.F. East Bay.
