Positives:
The exterior of the building was nice. The elevators ran quickly. It withstood the Malibu 4.7 earthquake nicely.
Negatives:
It had the most uncomfortable beds and pillows that I have experienced in a hotel in the last 30 years and they were the third worst in my entire 74 year lifetime. Moreover, the air conditioning was unbelievably noisy and blowy, so that it kept me awake all night. And when it was not running, the loud moan from the air conditioning units of the neighboring rooms likewise kept me awake. The bathroom had a lot of square footage, but did not use it well, affording almost no counter space on which to place necessary toiletry items. Lighting in the bedroom was irritating.

It’s deceiving from the outside. It looks like an imposing yet generic white building, but when you step inside, the lobby/dining area is just lovely with the window walls. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the area!

Perhaps it wasn’t particularly busy, but it seemed especially quiet; little chatter to be heard by other patrons.

Positives:
This is a return booking for me. Perfect again. We did have a problem with our bathroom door not moving ( barn style door) and the hotel sent someone up in 5 minutes and repaired the door with no lingering effects. Great service.
Negatives:
While the restaurant is very nice and the food was excellent, breakfast can be pricey. Just know that ahead of time.
