E Central Hotel Los Angeles

Negatives: Breakfast outside was beautiful environment, but tables weren’t cleaned off ever while I was there despite place being totally empty, including the one I sat at. My breakfast order was served stuffed into a smallish to-go container, although I had said I was eating outside at a table. Wasn’t asked how I wanted eggs cooked on the “eggs your way” breakfast option until I mentioned it at end of order at counter, thinking she forgot. I was told it was too late to change because it was already submitted to kitchen before I was done ordering. I think possibly due to scrambled being easier for them so they just put it through by default. (I really wanted sunny side up - not the biggest deal but for that $325+ per night…) Just the one person is at counter who does it all on the service part, and I did go late morning, so it’s more of a counter order muffin cafe instead of restaurant. Table delivery felt more like a favor but counter person was very nice and I enjoyed speaking to her. Gorgeous place to eat outside, though! Hotel was very expensive that weekend likely due to taking advantage of the nearby arena event, so I think I expected more in the way of breakfast service for the price. (It’s fabulous proximity to the arena.) Not many options to eat in the area later at night and surrounding neighborhood isn’t the greatest, but still a great stay.
