Location of the hotel was great. Right downtown easy access to everything.
Negatives:
This advertised as a 4.5 hotel. Cost was very high. Room was extremely small and very outdated. Stains in carpet. Not what you would expect for that high of a rating.
Positives:
The staff are extraordinary from the moment you check in, everyone makes you feel welcomed. Hotel employee at the front counter was excellent, every employee would ask about your day and would give great tips about the local area (food and touristy ideas).
Negatives:
My suite had two large TVs but there wasnt any remote controls, other than that it was perfection!

The location and the staff were excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The only thing I didnt like was the drinks at the bar were overpriced for the quality of the drink, and a limited selection.

I loved the nostalgia of the property. The rooms, dining area and lounge were done extremely well. It was close to the convention center and I felt the atmosphere of the hotel was beyond my expectations.
Negatives:
It was in Los Angeles so the only thing I can say is parking. Parking was extremely expensive at any of the hotels so I needed to use a parking facility about two blocks away to park my car. The value there was more than half off, but it wouldve been to park at the hotel.

Beyond my expectations and amazing place to stay.
Negatives:
I had booked through booking.com for my daughter. I had no clue that my card hadnt been charged and that my daughter would have to pay while checking in. This cause many inconveniences as I was confused and thinking that I was being double charged. This annoyed the staff, I could tell in their tone. Nonetheless, I told them they were correct in that I was never charged after looking at my statement. My daughter ended up getting a room with a view to a wall. This is unfortunate since it was our first time booking a room at Figueroa. The check-in was not smooth, got a bit of attitude from the staff, and received a room facing a wall. Our experience could have been better. Nonetheless, thank you.

Daylight was blocked out by a wardrobe and the one that what not blocked was by the bed which meant we didn't have it open.

We love the location for its proximity to the USC campus. The historic property is beautiful with its Spanish influenced architecture and decor.
Negatives:
Our bathrooms sink had an issue with plumbing that resulted in us being moved to another room for a night and most of the next day. The hotel staff was very accommodating, and we were compensated for our troubles.
