AVOID this hotel like the plague. The location is absolutely terrible. Downtown LA is not safe. If you are an international tourist, please avoid.

The location is central, everything is walkable, and the Ubers are easy to call. There are many good restaurants nearby. There is a mall/Macy's on the rear side of the hotel. The convention center is a 10-minute ride by Uber.
Negatives:
Front desk service was lukewarm, but the bell desk, valet, and housekeeping were excellent. We reserved a 750 sq. ft. one-bedroom suite, which felt smaller than expected. The suite had only one cramped bathroom in the living area, terrible for privacy, and all one-bedroom suites are attached to the elevator shaft, making them noisy throughout the night. The bed was also not as comfortable as a typical Marriott bed.
Despite being Gold Elite members, we were denied access to the breakfast area on the top floors, which was disappointing. We weren't even informed about it until we asked, only to be told it’s reserved for Platinum Elite members. This felt off, especially given that we booked the top category room. The two-tier treatment for Platinum and Gold members, regardless of the room category, would make me reconsider staying here again.
