Positives:
Very clean, good beds, nice shower room, good coffee in room.
Negatives:
Twice denied access to the swimming pool by security at 4pm to swim, due to private event that we were not made aware of when booking. Loud music was then played which was thumping down into our room on 5th.
We were refunded the amenities charge for the stay which was meant to give us rooftop and WiFi access, to be honest if I was aware of this extra charge at the start I’d have never booked it to begin with. I’m relieved to say I’ve never had to stay at another hotel that charges for such a basic facility!

Hotel is definitely very nice, looks almost brand new. Feels luxurious from the moment you enter the lobby until the very end. Room was perfectly clean, very nicely furbished, quiet and comfortable.
Negatives:
The staff... Pretty much everyone (except for housekeeping) were somewhere between ignoring to rude. Definitely made our feelings 50% down compared to what it could have been. Front desk unfriendly, rooftop bar literally ignoring. I don't think I'd return and it's only because of the staff. Expect rooms to be really small. Liveable, but very small. You need to self-park in one of the garages in the surrounding streets unless you want to valet, which is really expensive.

The staff at reception is not welcoming, team not knowing what they have to offer is simply no excuse! Nobody should care if they are not from the direct area, just educate yourself on the job. the valet team is the best though!

I recently stayed at the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood for a four-night trip and had a mixed experience. The hotel is located in a great area, just a short walk from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theatre, which made it easy to explore the local attractions. The rooftop lounge and pool area were definite highlights, offering fantastic views of the Hollywood sign and the city skyline.
The hotel itself is stylish and modern, with a chic boutique feel. My room was clean and well-decorated, but it was notably small. There was barely enough space for two people with luggage, and storage options were limited. Additionally, the noise from the rooftop nightclub was quite disruptive at night, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs or request a quieter room.
While the cleaning staff and pool attendants were friendly and helpful, the front desk staff could have been more welcoming and attentive. For example, a simple request for a late checkout came with a hefty $75 fee, which felt excessive.
Overall, the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood offers a stylish stay in a convenient location, but potential guests should be aware of the small room sizes and possible noise issues. Despite some service shortcomings, the rooftop amenities and central location make it a good choice for those looking to explore Hollywood.
