Didn’t have any expectations and...

Location is good.
Negatives:
Expensive and weird (just because they are on Hollywood boulevard). They haven't changed anything since probably 50's. Old style. Arrogant stuff. Relies on the old 'glory'. Yes, perhaps it has been great when presidents and stars have stayed there in the past, but now - we are 21st century. The pool was - urghhh. There are many other places where you can get a lot more for what you pay for.

Not the greatest place to...
Positives:
The pool area and the double delux room, great view of the city skyline and quiet. Good location and a historic hotel.
Negatives:
Filming meant we were not allowed through /to use the main entrance lobby (bar and brasserie) with restricted use of elevators for 4 out of the 5 days of our stay. We resorted to using the metal fire escape by our room which was not ideal. Not sure I would’ve booked this hotel had I known.
