The restaurant Blu Ember needs to work on the food. I felt like there could have been better quality for the type of clientele coming to this hotel.
Also my teen kids went to get breakfast one morning and the staff of the palms cafe gave them a hard time for not being 18. I think that’s a little unrealistic My children know how to order

Overall I liked our stay...

It's a beautiful property.
Negatives:
Not a complaint. There's a ton of children as it has a pool area geared towards children. There are three pools. One adult, the family pool and a third newer pool that was very nice but got taken over by teen boys tossing a football in the water using the full length of the pool. Very inconsiderate as it left no real room to be in the pool without dodging the football. Not to mention every other word was F' this and that. The adult pool is nice but the chairs are old and not comfortable and the towels are thread bare. For $300 per night I'd expect the adult pool to be most comfortable. The pool was full of blossoms that blow off the Palm trees and dead bees and other debris. No one ever came around to scoop up the flowers/bugs. Again not what I expect for the pricey stay. They should turn the new pool into the adult pool, it has a bar on site and much better towels and seating. No debris in the pool ever that I noticed.

this resort promises a lower price but we were hit with $1000 in hidden fees when we checked in making the actual price the highest in the area. then they hit you again with more fees when you check out: resort fee, parking fee, etc. rooms are rundown, filthy carpets turn your feet black, lumpy mattress, cracked tiles, dirt patio, noisy AC, paper thin walls. pools are small and crowded, “river” is cloudy with dirt. they sell day passes to the pool so it gets extremely crowded with people from other hotels who don’t have to pay to stay at omni water slides are short, long lines and mud on the cement stairs and path up to the slides. food bad and very expensive. extra fees for golf and the course is shared with a homeowners association who have priority so you have to wait the staff are all kids so no one in charge this place will never change until people start boycotting I cannot imagine how they get any good reviews

There were way too many people at the pool. There was no controls in place to limit vacationers from other hotels coming in each day who didn’t pay to stay at the hotel. There was one server that was taking money to hold seats at opening for these specific customers. It happened right in front of us. It was disgusting.
