The location was fantastic! However, the check-in experience could have been better. The receptionist (Emily, I believe?) had a bit of an attitude and made a point of reminding us that we had booked through a third party. When I inquired about an additional $200 charge, she said it was for the hotel amenities. I explained that we had already paid for the amenities, at which point she changed it to being for "incidentals."
Additionally, the pool staff made us feel rushed. They repeatedly tried to sell us drinks and snacks, to the point where I almost wanted to say, "Could you provide a sign that we can turn on when we need something?" After we stopped ordering, they brought us the bill, and it felt like we were expected to leave. We simply wanted to enjoy the afternoon by the pool, especially since we had already paid the $48 per person amenity fee.
