Positives: The location is within walking distances of many restaurants, but not the best part of town. I did notice this hotel was one of the only places that actually cared to spray down the surrounding sidewalks and made an attempt to keep the outside areas clean.
Negatives: Main floor (3rd floor) still had to climb a few flights of stairs, making it difficult to get luggage to the rooms. And only one access in and out of the hotel, which is the main lobby. Parking was awful.

Positives: Breakfast - very good but heat pastries Room - very good but fan was hard to use and bathroom door was VERY difficult to open and close. Would prefer a standard ironing board and a shower curtain rather the awkward glass panel.
Negatives: Bathroom door, ironing board, shower screen, very noisy fan.

Positives: The breakfast and wine/cheese events. Location is good if using public transportation. The architecture of the hotel is beautiful.
Negatives: The room needs updating. The bathroom pocket door was very hard to open and close. One window shade didn't work.

Positives: Authentic old school SF. Holds lots of wonderful memories. Happy Hour wine and cheese was delightful and the continental breakfast is perfect to help start the day. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Negatives: Couldn’t get the coffee maker to work in the room and plumbing fixtures sometimes didn’t cooperate. Would have also liked a makeup mirror.
