Centrally located in heart of San Francisco city center, this luxury boutique hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Union Square and 2 minutes’ walk from the American Conservatory Theater. An on-site bar and restaurant are located on site. An iPod docking station and a 50-inch flat-screen TV with film channels are included in every spacious room at Hotel Adagio. They each have a view of Union Square or the city skyline. A fitness center is part of the hotel. The reception desk is staffed 24-hours a day. The Mortimer, a sophisticated and chic cocktail lounge, serves drinks in the lobby each evening. Elliott offers breakfast each morning and serves dishes with farm-to-table ingredients. For packages that include breakfast, American Breakfast is Included for 2 adults only daily. Curran Theater is 2 minutes’ walk from the Adagio Hotel. Maiden Lane is half a mile away.

Positives:
The room was perfect, with lots of space and the bed was really comfy. Very quiet at night so no troubles during my sleep. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, bar and breakfast room. Plenty of fresh and delicious breakfast options. The bar is a great spot during the evenings as it gets quite busy and you can have a friendly chat with other guests while having a few drinks. Overall a great stay and would definitely choose Adagio Hotel again on my next visit.
Negatives:
Not the most attractive neighborhood considering the several homeless or shady people passing through every day but it’s not the hotel’s fault and at the end you’ll get used to it. Once inside the hotel you feel very safe so it’s not a big deal. One of the elevators was acting weird a couple of times during my stay but I met the Hotel Manager during my checkout and he apologized and promised to get it fixed as soon as possible.

My room was by the elevator so I could hear the power of it moving
But other than that very quiet
Location is good but with many homeless people around all those central hotels that is not ideal if you like to walk places

Positives:
I read a few bad reviews before getting to the hotel so I was a bit worried, but when we arrived it was absolutely great!
Reception staff (ceasar & sasha) we're very kind and welcoming, the fee included a glass of champagne each, breakfast, tickets to the cable car and 25 dollars to spend at the bar - where the food was good and staff so nice.
Location was also great and a walking distance to a few attractions.
Room was big, clean and super comfy.
We enjoyed so much that we decided to stay for another night!
Woukd defiantly try to book my next vacation with this line of hotels

The hotel has good facilities and a reasonably sized room. The cleanliness was satisfactory.
Negatives:
The room felt a bit small for a couple traveling with two large suitcases and two carry-ons. Additionally, the area around the hotel initially seemed a bit unsafe.
We encountered a problem with the hotel supervisor. At the beginning of our stay, we were offered a $25 credit to use. On the first day, we received fruit as a courtesy due to a mistake by the waitress. On the second day, we requested the fruit again, as the same waitress had indicated it was a courtesy and that we only needed to sign a paper for it. At no point were we informed that this would be deducted from the $25 courtesy credit per night.
Upon checking out, we were surprised to see this charge. We spoke with the front desk supervisor, who, after some back and forth, mentioned that due to a communication error between us and the waitress, we would receive an additional $25 voucher. We extended our stay in San Francisco for an extra night, so the supervisor applied the voucher to our dinner and told us we would have another voucher to use for breakfast the following day.
We ordered two boxes of fruit to go and checked out. Trusting the supervisor's word, we later noticed in the email confirmation that the voucher had not been applied, and we had not been charged for the fruit on the second day. The front desk attendant sent an email to the supervisor, who responded stating there had been another communication error and that to avoid further issues, she would issue a refund of $25. In summary, be with this $25 voucher.

My only complaint about the hotel was not having room in the mini fridge for our personal items or a coffee machine in room. Having to walk down for coffee was a little frustrating but not enough to deter me from staying there again

Sasha on the front desk was most helpful and accommodating in sorting a small issue for us at start of our stay.
We loved the fresh breakfast every morning, and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Shower was powerful too and after a long day exploring, was always nice to have a good, hot shower.
Hotel is well situated within walking distance to attractions.
Tuan, the bellboy is a major plus for the team. He is warm, kind and nothing was too much trouble for him. He always has a smile on his face.
Would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Not able to use fridge. Air conditioner not intuitive. Neighborhood a little sketchy. I think I got a very quiet room. Not sure all rooms are as quiet.
