The room looked decent when we got there and smelled clean. No bugs anywhere

Right when I walked in, it smelled a little funny, but I attributed it to people cooking in their rooms. Not the case. The front desk clerk gave us a room on the 1st floor because I had little kids. I walked down the hall and smelled one of the most disgusting smells I had ever smelled. It smelled like wet dog/b.o and farts mixed together. I should have asked for a refund, but I had just been sitting on the side of the road with my car broke down for 3 hours, so I just wanted a shower and to lay down.
When I went out the back door, the entire little area before you go outside smelled like dog pee so bad.
On the second day, I could smell a faint smell of dog pee on my room.. I was digging through my suitcase on the floor and I realized that smell was coming from the carpet and in a big area.

The staff was helpful when you could find them. We were able to get dishes to cook and the bed was very comfy. They let us back into the room for my husbands wallet when we realized we left it at check out also.
Negatives:
The room had cobwebs on the walls/ceiling so it looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a long time. The desk chair had gross stains on it so we couldn’t use it. Breakfast was coffee and nutragrain bars. Looked like bullet holes in our door and we didn’t have towels upon arrival. Although the AC worked and the bed was comfortable there was so much wrong.

The hotel was near food and a grocery store. It had a kitchen, so okayfor price.
Negatives:
I had to ask for pots and pans. The staff was very busy. The room was decent. There was no evidence of an infestation, but we killed a roach. We never saw anymore, so we think it came in from elsewhere.

I like the fact that when I arrived I was greeted and attended to in a timely manner it didn't take them long to get me my room key and sort out the paperwork they were very patient with me as I had my service animal with me they were very attentive to my needs as a disabled person they put me in that and hearing impaired room right away with little weight

The close location to Kaiser Hospital in San Jose, CA.
Negatives:
I was upset that my room key would not unlock the back door where I parked closer to room and had to get a new room key. The hallways smelled bit and there was dirty laundry bags in the hallway that was not picked up. The light bulb by my bed did not work and the bathroom was a bit untidy.

Positives:
The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a grocery store and several restaurants. Nothing else was good about this stay, however.
Negatives:
My king room had no wifi connection so I could not use the internet or get any work done for half of my stay. I was downgraded to a queen room in order to have wifi, but was still charged the king room price. The new room had a bed that was broken on one side, several appliances that did not operate, and a foul odor coming from the shower drain that you could smell throughout the unit unless you closed the bathroom door. I also found and photographed cockroaches inside my new room (which was on the 3rd floor).

First off the hotel had a horrible smell. The elevator smelled like piss the carpet in the hallway were dirty trash in the hallway and for this to be a non smoking motel the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. Not enough staff to help people.
