Negatives: Expensive for two rooms, actually ridiculous. Contacted them and they didn’t reply.

Negatives: When I arrived at 12:00 noon on 8/3, I came into the office to see if a room for me might be ready. The man behind the desk said "no come back at 3:00". I said ok and left. I was with my son and three of his little kids and we killed as much time as we could. At 2:00 I went back and when I walked in, a customer was talking to the same man I spoke to. The man was given a room key and was given directions to the room. I felt that because he was getting a key my room might be ready. I asked him again if a room was ready and he said "no come back at 3:00". I said, but you gave that guy a room. He said "I only gave him a key, but no room." He said "the maids are just finishing up lunch so no rooms ready." I have never heard such a stupid answer. I have never known a customer getting a key without a room being ready. He told me again " there is no room ready for you, you need to come back at 3:00". So for over an hour we had to sit in a car with 3 kids (because it was too hot to do anything outside) waiting for 3:00. He was so rude and unaccommodating and I believe he lied to me. During a heat wave in your area the full 4 days I was there the ice machine was out of order. My room key kept deactivating and I did not keep it close to my phone. Four times I had to have it activated again. At breakfast there was no waffle batter for breakfast one of the days. For the extreme price I paid I felt very disappointed in the quality of your front desk and the facility. I visit my son and grandkids every year in Santee and will be finding a new motel, if your facilities are not upgraded.

Negatives: The first day we arrived, our room was over 100 degrees. It was cooler outside than it was inside. The air conditioner hardly worked. We would keep it at lowest temperature and it would feel like a fan. The bathroom was always hot. The fan didn’t work well. Taking a cold shower was the best way to cool down. Requested room service daily for our 6 night stay. They came only once at a decent time to clean our room in the morning. Otherwise they would attempt to clean our rooms at 3:45pm or later. Ended up just getting clean towels daily. When I talked to the front desk, they told me that I needed to request a time slot. I should have been asked this when I requested to have our room serviced daily for the whole week. Continental breakfast was awful!!! Hardly any food!!! Staff would put out 3-4 yogurts at a time. Staff would not have enough hot food available (scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon…). If you asked the staff for more food they’d would be rude to you. Most of the staff were unprofessional. They need to take a customer service course on hospitality. The staff member from Klamath Falls, Oregon who was working morning shift the day I left was extremely polite and professional. She needs a big raise. Need to find more people like her to work at your location. I’ve stayed at a lot of Best Western hotels. This location is by far or is the worst ones I’ve ever stayed in. Next time I’m in this location, I will be considering somewhere else.
