Negatives: There were not enough parking spots.

Negatives: The bed sheets were not clean. There were dog hairs on the bed from previous stays. I was irritated by the cleanliness of the room. Not sure if there were bed bugs. We asked for new bedding but only got sheets. Had to dismiss the hotel covers and use our own blanket.

Negatives: This hotel is under renovation and had to swap rooms after getting there and our room was not suitable to stay in. They have no respect for others belongings and were painting the property did not tell me to move my car and got white paint specs all over the hood of my car that I did not notice til I got home from my stay. This is a horrible experience and will have to get my car professionally looked at because a car wash did not get the paint off.

Negatives: Terrible at costumer communication, overcharging for services that werent used. I was unable to make it to my room that day so I had to cancel my reservation. I saw that I would still be charged for the room and would also have to pay a cancellation fee if canceled after a certain date. I wasnt worried about this because it was in the description. However, what I didnt know is that the cancellation fee they mentioned turned out to be $71.90, on top of our room price which was already over $100. I was given the option to waiver the fee and I sent in not one, but two emails hours before I was supposed to even check in. Nobody ever reached back to me and every time I tried to call the property my call would not go through. They are terrible at managing their costumers needs and the least they could have done is respond to my email and explain why my waiver wasnt passed. However, now Im stuck paying almost $200 for a room I didnt use and for services that were no longer required. If youre looking for a place to stay in South Lake Tahoe, do not stay here. There are better places worth spending your money at than the Tea Garden Lodge.
