Elevator sucked and door locks(cards) were horrible. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ehhh, happy hour was OK but the property was great. Definitely recommended and would go back.

Positives:
Sunnyvale is a very nice city and the hotel is located in a beautiful neighbourhood. It also has big enough parking to accommodate all hotel guests. The rooms are big and bright. Now this is where the good stuff ends and the bad begins. Everything is quite dated, breakfast is a joke, staff is grumpy and unwelcoming.

Very nice place to stay...
Positives:
It was close to a lot of food and easy to get to the freeway. I enjoyed the meat and cheese they offered in the afternoon. The staff was not overly welcoming but friendly enough.
Negatives:
The hot tub was closed by the health department and there were ducks living in the pool so nobody used it and it was dirty. Although, the ducks were pretty cool!
I couldn't enjoy the limited breakfast because by the time they finally got everything out, I already had to leave for my game. That was at 7am. Also, the apple and orange juice had curdled milk chunks in it, almost gagged.

Definitely worth a try

It's a decent hotel in a decent location. We have been coming here over the last several years and this hotel is going down in quality.
Negatives:
As I said, the hotel is going down in quality over time. This time the jets in the bathtub in our room did not work (and the room price is higher if you stay in the room with the jetted tub). One of the window curtains had a large rip in it. The elevator doors are banged up and not fixed. Overall, it's clear that the hotel management is not maintaining the property to decent standards. Breakfast has been stripped down. It used to include made-to-order omelets and other such extras. Now it's just boiled eggs, fruit salad, and cereal. This is in the heart of Silicon Valley and anybody can find better hotels in this price range.
