Located close to Universal Studios. Staff were in the main friendly. Room was functional, good tv, and nice bathroom. Useful free shuttle to park.
Negatives:
The hotel is looking a little tired and could do with a refresh. A few things broken or not working in our room took the gloss off upgrading to a club lounge room. The club lounge itself isn’t comparable to others we have enjoyed, very utilitarian with limited food and beverage options, paper cups and more a cafe feel than lounge. Located on ground floor it has no views and isn’t the luxury retreat you expect. I certainly wouldn’t recommend the club upgrade, will disappoint most except perhaps those with children. Given this hotel is focused on guests and families visiting Universal Studios, perhaps having a ‘club lounge’ is a misnomer. Our ‘club’ room was quite basic and small. Again paper cups and very limited coffee & tea facilities leaves you wondering where the value is in upgrading.
