Hotel charged over $2K in unauthorized charges on my credit card citing "incidentals' yet when I checked in they charged me $200/night on incidentals- i paid $1800 on a $1K reservation booking. My charges at hotel were under the $200/night charged at check in; they ran another $900 2nd day after $1800 charged at check in and now (2 weeks later after checking out) have a hold on my card over $4K that hasn't been released. In 2024, they advise they can't release the holds for UNAUTHORIZED charges DOUBLE my stay which was paid AT CHECK OUT. TWO WEEKS LATER we still have a hold on my card for UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES IN EXCESS OF $2K. NEVER HAVE I HAD SUCH AN ISSUE IN ALL OF MY TRAVELS OVERSEAS OR DOMESTIC. STAY AT THE EDITION OR ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE- MY ROOM WASN'T CLEANED IN THREE DAYS I WAS THERE DESPITE MY ASKING FOR SAME. LOCATION GREAT- HOTEL FINANCIAL DEPT IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF AN ETHICS COURSE. TWO WEEKS HOLD ON UNAUITHORIZED CHARGES IS BORDERLINE CRIMINAL.

The toilet kept blocking but we rang maintenance and they fixed it quickly. This happened most evenings. We could’ve changed rooms but couldn’t be bothered.

Rooms are a good size, even though they are starting to look a little run down.
Negatives:
The pool was closed for maintenance, which guests should have been advised about in advance. The Skybar was also closed during our stay. very disappointing. It's clear that the hotel is more focussed on visitors to its dining and bar facilities than welcoming hotel guests. A sense of hospitality was lacking overall. We thought the location was too noisy on Sunset Blvd.
