The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice bathroom and ample climate control. I enjoyed the rooftop pool and view and the staff was very friendly and answered my questions.
Negatives:
The prices for the food bar are very high. Parking is very expensive due to valet being required.

Expensive valet parking. Difficult to unload car on a steep hill. We booked the room for 3 persons through booking.com, but it was equipped for 2 persons. Had to ask for a third towel. Didn't bother with the sofa bed as our kid fits between us on a king bed. Maybe just a communication problem but not mine.

The hotel is in close proximity to lots of bars and restaurants in WeHo and and also close to the Sunset strip, Rainbow Bar and Grill, The Roxy etc. the staff at the Montrose are always incredibly helpful and welcoming, keen to share local tips etc! Our room was really spacious and the rooms are definitely the best thing about the hotel.

The pool area was a bit uninspiring and I felt needed a bit of a facelift.

The location was so convenient for anything you need. A quick walk takes you to the West Hollywood scene or the beautiful neighborhoods of Beverly Hills. The staff were friendly and accommodating with all of my needs. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The views from the roof were breathtaking.

My stay at the Montrose...
Positives:
Great location, an easy walk to shopping and eats
Negatives:
There are a few aspects which are unnecessarily expensive. The parking is extortionate at $65US a day. You can park down at Venice for $15US a day. Also when we saw the City View room we’d booked it was very dark and the view was not nice at all - just a driveway and a couple rooftops. So we asked to change to the other side of the building, facing out to the street, and of course had to pay an extra $30US a night for that. Even the two complimentary water bottles were teeny-tiny compared other hotels, they really seem to want you to pay for everything. The room had a kitchen but weirdly no plates glasses or cutlery were provided. We tried calling the front desk multiple times to ask for these but no one answered, so I had to take the lift down to reception to get them. You also have to ask at the front desk for your room to be made up but again they didn’t answer the phone for us so we gave up on trying to get anything done and went three days with no new towels or without the bed being made up. Just really poor really. Don’t expect much

Nice big rooms, i hosted the bridal party and my daughter for her wedding day. We all got ready and plenty of room

The skillets in the kitchen were garbage. Goodwill has better- i was charged for the coffee table book that i did not keep. I was charged for the shampoo body wash conditioner $35 each bottle. I stayed 8 nights- when i called to discuss with management i was going up on multiple times. “Tim” manager? Never called me or emailed me as i was promised. Very rude treatment
