I interacted with 2 staff. I felt like a nuisance to the person at check in. When I went to explain that I couldn’t stay in the room, a different staff person was helpful in cancelling my stay.

The room was filthy; there were smears of something white on the mirror and television (both over a foot long), something red smeared on the wall by the trash can, unswept floors, stain on the bedding, the chair had crumbs and holes in it, there were hairs on the counter by the sink, black in the tile grout (idk if it was filth or mold), there was no hot water and the cold water smelled. I didn’t want to even put my things down in the room.

This location was in a decent part of town

It was FILTHY. The first room we were put in had burn holes and stains in the comforter, smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and vomit. I asked for a new room and they gave me one, it smelled better but still was dirty. I was told we couldn’t get a refund so we stayed, but couldn’t even shower due to mold on the shower curtain, and there was no hot water. The whole stay was absolutely disgusting.

There was nothing I liked about this La Quinta Inn. When I arrived, a pipe had burst and there was no water for over two hours. The garbage was overflowing in the lobby and common area trash containers. A dirty clothes cart sits permanently in the corner of the lobby. Filthy and disgusting are the two words I use to describe the common areas. There were visible stains everywhere on the floors. The hotel must not own a vacuum or a mop. The breakfast nook was horrifyingly dirty. The floors were sticky and filthy and I would guess that they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There were visible grimy fingerprints on the pastry cases. When I went down to grab some creamer for my coffee, there was a barefoot person getting his breakfast. Two other people in the breakfast line looked strung out. I wouldn’t have eaten there if you paid me. Other filth issues—broken glass in a case holding the fire extinguisher, a thick, thick layer of black grime in a hallway where a vending machine once stood, and the bottom of the pool looked black.
