We were assigned a 1st floor room overlooking the carpark.
It was dark as we had to keep the privacy shades down.
It was also a communicating room and not private at all.

Positives:
I recently stayed at the The J House Greenwich Hotel for a Labor Day weekend staycation and, unfortunately, I was not impressed with the room. The hotel, which is supposed to be a high-end boutique, seems to be showing signs of wear and tear. The room itself was muggy, the blinds were dusty, and I found hairs on the bottom layer of the comforter, which made it hard to sleep. Though my husband didn't want me to complain since we were only staying one night, it really detracted from the experience.
On the plus side, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. The massages at the spa were a highlight—easily a 10/10. However, the spa itself is very small, so keep that in mind if you're expecting more space.
Breakfast was another disappointment. The continental breakfast was underwhelming, and the dining area tables were dirty, so we ended up sitting in the lobby to eat. The restaurant was overpriced for what it offered, and the food was nothing to write home about.
Overall, I would return just for the spa experience, but I wouldn't stay overnight again.
