The location was great

We were originally given a room that was supposed to be out of service. When we had to pack and move rooms, the new room had an awful smell and the shower shot water straight into the air.
Negatives:
There is an additional $50 mandatory 'resort fee' -- which is not included in the price displayed when this hotel comes up on the search. Also, the hotel is very dated -- definitely not a 4 star-property.

I liked the kitchen with a full size fridge, a large microwave, an electric cooktop and a toaster. Not to mention the dining table for two. Also the included hot breakfast was surprisingly good with omelette, fried sausage and taters, juice and yogurt.
Positives:
Location was perfect for families. Quiet and close to metro, museums and restaurants. My young kids rode their scooters safely. It had the quiet residential feel, but just a few block away you also get the Capitol Hill hustle/bustle.

The hotel staff was excellent and the hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable! The location was superb! It was a close walk to the mall and we were able to head down Pennsylvania Ave each night to find a new restaurant for dinner!

I went to St. Thomas last year and had a horrible experience w/ nasty Natives starting w/ the female van driver. This year I went to Washington DC. The hotel was 100% better experience than going to tropical USV. Staff & Hotel-Great.
