I loved the size of the room. This room was very spacious for a family. There were 3 beds that’s including the sofa sleeper. A full size bathroom. A/c control in the room was great. Big windows for sunlight and view. Also liked the complimentary water. Everything was walking distance. There were a number of restaurants all different kinds of choices. Walking distance to the city center, The White house, Museum for African American History and Culture, Martin Luther King monument, The Capital and the list goes on. I felt safe. I traveled with my two teenagers and myself. They were able to walk downtown themselves it was very safe. There’s and Escape Room not far. I would suggest going to Trador Joes or Wawa for room snacks. We also visited Howard University, Old Town, Patomac, Maryland, and Virginia are all with 20 minute drive of each other. No real shopping malls just stand alone stores.
Negatives:
The candy was extremely expensive. The room was a little outdated. My drawer was broken. The head board was moving and the light fixture were packed with dirt, it was disgusting. Saturday night my room key wasn’t working and the man at the front desk was being very difficult. I got key didn’t work. I sent my son because I was at the room and had to use the restroom very bad I couldn’t move, my is 16. He gave him a key still didn’t work. Once he went back downstairs the guy says it’s because you have it by your self phone you’re deactivating it. To soon find out that it was the door because the door had a dead battery door. The maintenance man came with no tools just to look at the door then had to go back and get his things all while I’m holding my bladder. We finally got in the room. The young lady and everyone was very friendly.

I smell and feel of the room. It smelled like a mens locker room. The smell of body oder and humidity was really strong. The sofa and the bed had the smell penetrated into it. Have never had this issue before and have stayed in this hotel many times.

Parking per not is outrageous. Parking should be free or at a reduced cost. $55.00 a night is ridiculous.
