Positives: The staff were personally pleasant.
Negatives: This was one of the worst hotel stays I have had in some time. We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for a family vacation. We arrived late in the evening after a 16 hour drive from IA. It was clear upon entering the hotel that it was not clean, let alone well kept up. Once we got checked in, our kids opened the door to their room to find a lamp torn apart with parts on the bed next to an outlet that didn’t work - clearly in the middle of a repair. On top of that their key card access quit working after initial entry. After four trips down to the front desk with reprogrammed keys we were informed there was no more they could do until the repairman arrived in the morning. I asked how they could be unprepared for our arrival but didn’t get a good answer. I later found out our kids air conditioner wasn’t working and they had just been living with it so I had to request that it was fixed. I would have gone to a different hotel but clearly would not have been refunded per booking.com policy, which is ridiculous. Upon leaving, I asked what they were going to do to compensate an awful stay and they said all they could do was cancel one day’s valet/parking fees since we booked through a third party. I countered with them cancelling all three which they agreed to. It still was not commensurate with such a disappointing stay but was clearly all they would do and we wanted to get out of there. I have already steered someone away from this trip who asked about lodging options on an upcoming DC stay and will continue to do so. Avoid this hotel.

Positives: The restaurant was ckean and the food was good.
Negatives: The web site stated that breakfast was included and it wasn't. The menu was the same as staying at other hotels that have breakfast included. I was a bit shocked to get a bill for it Had I known that before hand I would have taken my family to a breakfast place and probably spent less.

Positives: The room was clean and very nice. Beds were comfortable. The valet parking was convenient with an app to ask for your car. We were in DC to go to museums and for a concert at the Capital One Arena and this worked out well for us. Also, the food in the restaurant was very good!
