Negatives: - The rooms were dimly lit and and like almost all hotel rooms in the US, you have to search around the room for all the many lamp switches to be able to see around. I prefer overhead bright lights with one main switch. - Robes were a nice touch but they were sized for a small person. Any woman over size 14 or a large man is out of luck! -The room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke, even though it is not allowed in the hotel.

Negatives: Lack of communication on my booking

Negatives: You can hear all the doors slam. I know that’s a normal hotel issue but still annoying when you’re trying to sleep.

Negatives: Very few amenities on site - not the best value for money. Also had some issues at checkout - the staff member gave me incorrect information about the holds on my credit card ($100 extra per night!) which caused unnecessary stress. The info given to me at check in was correct and consistent with my final bill.

Negatives: The hotel was Lister as a "4 Star" property. You ask for and pay for a two bed room with a City View. Then you receive an email offering an upgrade to a City View with better sheets and towels. When we arrived they had us on the second floor by the elevator. Some upgrade. We went down to the desk again waited in line until they would ask us what we wanted. We told them had to be a little loud , then they put us in a room on the 5th floor away from the noise. We checked with lady cleaning the rooms she said that the rooms were all the same so upgrade was a sham. Room was OK, 50" TV as billed. BUT TV only worked for a few minutes then turned off. After waiting about 15 to 20 minutes it would continue with the news. We reported the broken TV issue three times, each time the front desk said that they would fix it. It stayed broken. The biggest warning that I can give anyone thanking to stay there is they charge you another $100.00 as a deposit, except they run it through. We are checking out and they told us that it was for cleaning room charge and additional fees. That everyone pays this. They are crooks. We are dealing with our bank now to return the theft of the additional charges. I will use a national chain, say Hilton next visit to Washington in three months. BEWARE!, of The Darcy Hotel. I have never had to give a bad review before. Good luck and safe travel.
