Negatives: Nadjsda Manuel Management of The Royal Sonesta Washington DC DuPont Circle 2121 P Street NW, Washington, DC 20037 Complaint about Check-in Service and Incorrect Charge Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my stay at The Royal Sonesta Washington DC DuPont Circle from May 25th to May 31st, 2024. I experienced several issues that I find unacceptable for a hotel of your category and would like to report them so that appropriate measures can be taken. 1. Incorrect charge at check-in: I made my reservation through Tripadvance, but upon arrival at the hotel, I was charged the regular price. I had to show my reservation to correct this charge. 2. Unregistered security deposit: I was informed that I needed to make a $600 deposit to cover possible incidents and use of the bar or restaurant. I made the deposit in cash, but to my surprise, the manager did not register it in the system. On the second to last day of my stay, I requested that my bill be prepared for early check-out and was informed that the $600 deposit was not recorded in the system. I had to show the manager’s notes for the reception to resolve the situation. 3. Attempted improper charge after check-out: After my check-out, the hotel attempted to charge an additional night to my credit card, which I find completely unacceptable. Due to these issues, I was extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated, especially by the manager, who proved to be untrustworthy and disorganized. I recommend that you review the performance of your staff, particularly the manager, to prevent other guests from experiencing similar situations. Negatives: A request for a repair of a missing channel on the TV was not heeded even after three days, after the request. As a returning guest since the days Kimpton owned it, I am less excited about the current owner, It's not a 4.5 hotel anymore.

Negatives: No hot water when I checked in. Didn’t come on for a few hours. No one told me when I checked in

Negatives: Expected room to be larger based on pictures.

Negatives: Elevator were very small and slow. The air in the rooms was not upto par. Had to switch rooms because air was not working then the same in the new room
