No wash cloths, had to phone each day as maid took but did not restock. Floor dirty in room. Tried to reserve roof and was told to just go up. Went up to find reserved only area and then were ignored by wait staff for 45 minutes until we left.
No functional TV for 2 of 4 day stay and then staff could not keep TV’s on for more than 20 minutes on last two days.

Positives:
I was able to turn off the AC. It was a very quiet room, which is not common in the US. The area is a bit outside the center, with great places to run along the river all the way to the National Mall. It has steam bath and sauna, which are open from 7AM until night (9PM or so).
Negatives:
There was no buffet breakfast, only à la carte. The steam bath had an odd smell (old water pipes?). It would be better to add some eucalyptus or other scent to the steam. Contrarily to the steam bath, the sauna is mixed (in the pool area), which in the US means making a sauna with swimming suit (and risking burns from its elastics!), and there is no access from the sauna to outside, to cool down between sauna sessions.
It also has a nice pool and jacuzzi, but I didn't use them.

I was looking for a view which was ok.
Negatives:
I was my birthday. I was hoping for some help with a few things but never got a call back. Check in I was left standing for 20 minutes with only 2 people working at 3:45 for a 4:00 checkin. Finally it was my turn and was told the 3 rooms I booked were not on the same floor even though I requested them to be close together.
I was told I did not need reservations for the roof top but was told differently when we arrived at 5:00. After standing round for another long time they found us a table but we had to be gone by 7:00 for another party.
As far as the suite, the toilet seat did not fit the toilet as it ran all night. The furniture was very uncomfortable with the chair arm broken.
Check out again was a nightmare with only one person working at 10:30 for an 11:00 check out.
I understand times have changed. At 70 I have spent many nights in all levels of hotels but it used to be when staying in a Nice hotel they were much more welcoming.
