La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St. Pete-Clearwater Airport

Negatives: Old and falling apart. They are in the middle of renovating something, but there was no notice before booking. The place is a mess. There was literally garbage on the floor of the room when we entered. The TV did not work

Negatives: The breakfast was a bit weak in my opinion. I liked the sliced ham but did not like the sausage or eggs soaked in water. The biscuits and gravy were all gone before you knew it and the lady who was like a Natzi, stood and watched the guests to scold them when they got too much for her liking. Overall the stay was comfortable thanks to Maria at the front desk. She is great and very helpful with the guests even knowing very many of them as they are family. I felt very safe as this is a friendly LGBTQ Hotel.

Negatives: front desk guy was very rude and I couldn't speak to a manager the phone were supposed to be down and he couldn't reach anyone and could only call on GOD if an emergency occurred

Negatives: The facility was old and worn out, and it seemed a little sketchy for the price I had to pay.

Negatives: The hotel was a little bit more run-down than what we expected. Stains on the carpet everywhere, just about. The smell was different on each floor of the hotel, and in our room, it was worse. We had to go to Walmart and buy airfreshners. Our toilet didn't flush well at all, and the vent didn't work either. We had no idea the hotel was "under construction." Had we known this, we would not have chosen to stay there. On Sunday afternoon, we decided to try to take a nap, and there were workers cutting into the wall next door, making a bunch of noise. We stayed from Friday evening to Monday morning. We have stayed with La Quinta before, in other states, and this is the first time we've encountered many issues. One of the highlights is the continental breakfast they provide, which is nice to get up, grab a cup of coffee, and maybe a waffle and some eggs. This breakfast was decent at best. Saturday morning, my husband ate. The eggs were frozen cold when he took a bite, and the taste of the coffee was like the smell of the hotel ... we were not the only ones wondering what was up with the food, but nobody complained that we know of. We didn't partake the rest of the weekend, needless to say. Please know that my husband and I do not typically complain or leave bad reviews. Like I said, had we known it was "under construction," our expectations would have been different.

Negatives: room was inaccurate and bathroom was disgusting

Negatives: They cancelled my reservation!

Negatives: The smell in the rug smells like mildew and I found a cockroach when he first got there on the bed and the faucet in the bathroom kept running all night like water was on and it wasn't

Negatives: Needs a little updating but still very cozy rooms

Negatives: About everything. Cleanliness. No breakfast. Did not get a king bed room.

Negatives: Renovation not complete perhaps when it is things will be better

Negatives: The room was so filthy. I didn't even want my puppy to walk on the floor. There was what appeared to be blood splatter on the bathroom wall, potato chips on the floor, chewed up bubble gum stuck to the headboard. These are just a few things we encountered. We lost our home to Hurricane Helene and we were desperate to find anywhere to stay. I now know why this hotel was available. If we had any other option I would have left immediately after seeing the room.
