Negatives: Dear Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale/Downtown Las Olas Area, I recently stayed at your hotel from 11th June to June 13, 2024, in room 207. Unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. After taking a bath, I discovered that the bathtub leaked water into the room, causing the carpet to become wet. This was quite inconvenient and unpleasant. Additionally, my luggage and clothes were also affected by the water, which caused further inconvenience during my stay. I hope you can address this issue to improve the stay for future guests. Positives: The location was great for what we needed. The breakfast was at least hot.
Negatives: I asked for my 2 rooms to be close together. When I checked in they put my 2 rooms on the 5th floor and the 9th floor. When I asked again if they could be put together they said they have us what they had available. It was Monday afternoon, hard to believe but ok. The pool was temporarily closed due to maintenance on air conditioning. The halls were very musty and on the 9th floor they were painting and there was an overwhelming smell of paint thinner. We were told they had appetizers and happy hour from 5 to 10 however the bar was completely shut down around 830. And the extra 28.00 for parking
