Hotel Maren Fort Lauderdale Beach Curio Collection By Hilton

Negatives: I wish there was a crossing path from the hotel straight to the beach so we don't have to walk all the way to the end of the street or try crossing as cars come across the bend.

Negatives: Some of the staff, misrepresentations on website, and unclean room., Hotel Maren is not worth the value you will pay.

Negatives: asked for a different room due to construction outside window, they said yes in 2 days but never changed my room. Did not refill coffee one day in room and tried several times to get some brought to room, eventually went to starbucks

Negatives: Amenities! Ada accessibility! 18 dollar breakfast! No microwave in room! 550 dollars a night!

Negatives: We arrived late at the hotel from the airport and once settled in our room I found a large dried urine stain in front of the toilet. I was mortified. Due to it being late and wanting to rest without having to wait and be interrupted by cleaning staff, I decided to use a tower and bath soap to clean it myself and wait to alert the front desk in the morning. I advised the front desk staff in the morning, and they had a cleaning crew head up to re-clean the floors. The following night around 8pm, I attempted to get the front desk on the phone, calling numerous time to no avail, to ask them for a bottle opener. After about 5 minutes of trying to get someone on the phone, I went to the lobby and found the desk empty. There was another couple waiting too, and they had not seen the front desk attendant either. Within a couple of minutes, the attendant returned from outside the front hotel door, looking down at her phone as if she had been on the phone outside instead of the front desk. I told her I tried calling numerous times, and she denied being gone long from the front desk. A hotel valet witnessed this and immediately motioned to the front desk attendant to let him handle it, and he offered me something from the food shop near the front desk. I thanked him as he understood what customer service meant and appreciated how he worked quickly to remedy my issue. Between that and the dried urine on my bathroom floor, this was unacceptable, especially at the rate I was paying to stay at the hotel. As well the hotel being under the Hilton brand, I could not be more disappointed in the way this stay reflected on that brand as I have never experienced issues like this at any other Hilton property. I hope the staff at the Maren can get it together for the future, but as of now, I don't expect that I will book here again.
