Negatives: Additional services (such as offering a welcome card on the bed, a birthday card), offering more than the bare minimum in terms of care (better quality toilet paper, offering cotton buds for the ears, etc.). It would also be nice for a 4-star hotel to have access to at least two free bottles of water in the mini bar on arrival.

Negatives: Booked the room thru booking.com. Was told I didn’t have to pay anything extra at the hotel only to be told at the hotel that there was a $100 deposit that needed to be paid for incidentals. Would not accept cash and put a $100 hold on my card that would be refunded 7-10 business days later. Was also not told that there was no parking available at all for hotel. Had to pay an additional $40 for public parking for one nights parking and walk a few blocks back to the hotel. The hotel was under construction and hallways smelled of weed.
