Nice and charming hotel close to the beach and ocean drive as well as some cosy restaurants.
Negatives:
Pool closed for a few days without prior notice but possibility given (via transfer to schedule) to enjoy the pool of another hotel. Room was not cleaned for one day.

The location was great, right on espñola way. The decor and style of the hotel was great too.

Check in time was very late and check out times somewhat early but the hotel staff was able to accommodate check out.

Positives:
Location and styling of the hotel is very good. Hotel feels boutique style and location at the end of espagnola road is perfect. Breakfast is of high quality yet for non drip coffee you need to pay and breakfast is not in buffet style (you can choose from a la carte menu). Roof top pool bar is small but nice to cool down after a hot summer day at the beach. Complimentary beach chairs are nice, but no parasol included and max of 2 persons per room.
Negatives:
Rooms were much too small and not enough lighting. In addition, hotel Esme consists of two buildings, the main building and the matenza building which is located a couple of minutes away. We stayed in the matenza building; this means that you will need to carry your luggage through the busy espagnola road. Breakfast is offered at the Drexel, which is a very nice restaurant. While reservation on booking said that breakfast was included (we stayed in a family room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers), hotel esme said that breakfast was only included for maximum 2 persons per room. This is apparently hotel policy but breakfast is quite expensive and caused some irritation from our side. Hotel room rates are quite steep, especially given the small size of the rooms (we could not open our suitcases nor did we have room to put them in the room without blocking the closet).

The only thing that I thought was a little too much is the deposit od 100 dollars per day. But deposit was given back after 3-4 days of checking-out so not bad

All of the staff here are absolutely lovely, helped me with anything I needed and truly made my experience in Miami better, the room was immaculate and cleaned throughly daily, the location is perfect with many bars and restaurants near by as well as the beach. The food was top quality in the hotel also!
