I recently stayed at Marriott Stanton and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Despite the relentlessly poor weather in Miami, the hotel's shortcomings were glaring.
Firstly, the reception staff's attitude was poor and unhelpful from the moment we arrived. They were curt and unwelcoming, providing no assistance or basic courtesies. When we inquired about the destination charge, they initially claimed it was $42 per day, but upon checking our booking, we found it was actually $35. This discrepancy was frustrating and made us feel misled.
The $35 daily charge included access to deck chairs on the beach and cycling, amenities we couldn't use due to the constant rain. To make matters worse, no umbrellas were provided. The reception staff offered no solutions or alternatives, leaving us to deal with the inconvenience.
Upon arrival, we were offered alcoholic drinks without any non-alcoholic alternatives. When we expressed that we don't drink alcohol, the staff made no effort to accommodate us. Similarly, the ice cream provided was mostly alcoholic, with vanilla being the only non-alcoholic option. This lack of inclusivity was very disappointing.
Overall, the unhelpful attitude of the reception staff, combined with uncomfortable accommodations and misleading charges, made for a very unpleasant stay. I cannot recommend Marriott Stanton based on this experience.
