- when we arrived the sofa bed was not made, after mentioning this to staff they just handed to us the sheets and we had to make the bed ourselves
- when we opened the sofa we learned it was not possible to walk to the rest of the room from the two double beds (see the picture) - the room became unusable for four people
- there was lots of dust and dirt everywhere, mold in the shower (pictures)

The location was great. Close to airport.
Negatives:
The room was so dirty. There was old food on the wood floors around couch and around the beds. The bed was miserably uncomfortable with pillows that had balls of cotton manifesting its shape (showing how old they were). We could not take our shoes off it was so dirty and we had to keep telling the kids, “don’t touch that, don’t touch that”. This was so disappointing from a Marriott. We had to move rooms as the room they gave us had just been sprayed with something as all the cabinets and doors were open. The room smelled so bad.
Come on Marriott. We are members of the world of Hyatt but I thought why not give Marriott a chance. Never again.
BTW….There are NO PLACES TO EAT AROUND THIS PLACE. At all.

Positives:
This hotel is located very close to the airport, so it’s perfect for your stay with that in mind. It has a lovely pool, snacks, a bar, breakfast! The size of the room and the bathroom was much bigger than expected, the toiletries were of high quality and the bed was super comfortable. We were very happy and had a very comfortable night’s stay after a long journey. We were also able to get a lift to a bus station nearby with the airport shuttle, and had a very enthusiastic and happy bus driver.

Great location to the airport and cruise terminal

Website needs to be updated with current property stats. I chose Element Miami not only for its location to the airport but also for the 24 hour shuttle service. I even confirmed prior to booking with a gentleman over the phone and was informed Element had 24 hour shuttle access but was informed when I arrived that the information provided was not true. I wish the property had 24 hour shuttle service for people who have early morning flights. This would definitely help relieve the stress of trying to wait for a taxi, Uber, or a Lyft early in the morning.

Positives:
Pleasant room, sufficiently ample and well laid out, comfortable bed, huge TV, kitchen facilities, good desk. The area is super quiet and the hotel is near the airport. In fact, you can get to it by taking the airport shuttle train to the airport transportation center and walking 5 minutes. Also, the transportation center offers the option of taking a metro train into the center of the city. I was pleased with the choice for an overnight stay.
