I booked this hotel after reading it had received Two Michelin Key, however, my stay at Mayfair House in Coconut Grove was just ok.
The property is beautiful, with lush gardens and stunning art deco architecture. Couldn’t stop taking photos.
The highlight of our stay was taking the outdoor silent disco spin class. The instructor was AMAZING!
The rooftop pool was beautiful and we truly enjoyed the DJ on the Sunday afternoon.
Negatives:
Our stay had its ups and downs. Upon check-in at 4:30 PM, our room was not ready, and we had to wait an hour and a half. This was inconvenient, especially after a long day of travel, but the manager did provide us with three complimentary drinks, which helped ease the frustration.
We also had to wait over an hour for the valet car to arrive, which was quite frustrating and had to jump in an Uber to avoid being late to dinner reservations.
During the night, there was a water leakage from the floor above, causing a massive flood in our bedroom. This was a major inconvenience and disrupted our stay.
Breakfast was also disappointing. The pancakes were sitting on the kitchen warmer for over eight minutes, so they were cold by the time they were served to us.
The rooms could use some attention. The color scheme is too dark, and adding artwork on the walls would enhance the atmosphere.
At the pool, there was no attendant to clean after guests, leaving cups and used towels behind.
Overall, while the property has potential and some lovely features, there were significant issues during our stay that need to be addressed.

One of the most usual hotels I’ve stayed in, lots of greenery, stunning facade and interior details! Outdoor shower is a really nice feature especially in hot days we hit in Miami. Great location!

Large rooms, VERY large. Nice balcony/patio. Nicely appointed. Good Resturant/food. Great location in Coconut Grove. Gym was excellent. Service was great. Hotel is uniquely beautiful and understated. I felt like I was in Europe.

On most occasions when I tried to call the hotel I was unable to contact anyone and had to leave a message.

We absolutely loved the style of the restaurant, the front door, the refreshing smell and cool air as you walk in, the detailing in the decor, the lush greenery and the stylish room decor.
Negatives:
We were looking forward to a relaxing afternoon at the rooftop pool. Unfortunately, we hadn’t been given the heads up that a pool party would be taking place…it wasn’t the vibe we were looking for, too loud and no spare sunbeds, so we were a bit disappointed with that. Also loves that there was a kettle in the room but would recommend two of each type of teabag for a room with two guests.
