Positives:
I wasn't there on a "vacation," so the location (on US-19) served my purpose well. There was a decent sized table that I was able to set my laptop computer on and the Wi-Fi worked well. The pool looked inviting, as did the covered sitting area, and I probably would have taken advantage of both had I had more time. I stayed at the Roadhouse for the low rate offered (which was about half of what I would have paid to stay at other motels in the area) and so in that regard, I have no complaints - you get what you pay for. The facility had two washing machines and dryers, which came in handy. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room, which I appreciated.
Negatives:
The room wasn't carpeted. The floor felt "sticky" at times under my feet. I was there for a week and the staff apparently never entered the room while I was there (which was good and bad), but as a result the towels were never changed, the bed was never made, and the trash was never emptied. There were plastic dumpsters outside where I could dump my own trash. It was a "no-frills" room: no alarm clock, no box of tissues, no little coffee maker (which I probably wouldn't have used anyway) - so a lot of the amenities that one would expect in a higher priced facility were missing (which was fine, as I was staying there for the "price"). I only mention that so others may know to come prepared. I thought the TV channel selection was horrendous. Had I wanted to watch a sporting event, the only thing televised was a PAC-12 college sports channel. Curiously they had NewsMAX and a BBC channel, but most of the other stations seemed to be old sitcoms and movie reruns. Again... I wasn't there on vacation or to watch TV, but at least a local sports or news (and weather) channel would have been nice.

We traveled without little dog and paid the appropriate amount for our 2 night stay, however they put people with pets in smoking rooms and as Mt husband and I are both non smokers, it stank. An hour after we checked in, my husband took our dog on a walk on her leash along with plastic bags as we are considerate dog owners. It was before dark so it wasn't late and as we walked by our neighbors room who also had a dog inside, both dogs barked a bit as they tend to do. No big deal. Later that night when my husband once again stepped out he was confronted by the neighbor and was aggressively threatening him. We went to the manager and was told he didn't care because the other lady lived there like a resident. They refused to even talk to her or return our money we felt so unsafe we decided to call the police. I would never stay in that place again.

Everything the mini fridge didn’t work, the plumbing was horrible, there was no hot water in the bathroom and if you wanted even warm water you had to let it run for 10-15 minutes, beds were hard and uncomfortable, bed sheets and blankets were horrible along with the pillows, unfortunately I don’t have one good thing to say about this place!

The pool was clean and located in the center of the motel.
Negatives:
The bedspread had a giant burn whole in the middle of it and several burn holes at the top. I asked for a new bedspread and they gave me another one with holes in it. Also the noise level was ridiculous. Kids screaming in the pool relentlessly for hours.

The room I stayed in was in horrible condition. There were burn holes in the bedding and the furniture. The amount of problems from other guests were not addressed by the staff. The cops were called 2 out of the 5 nights I was there.
