Cancellation Policy

Good news! Before Friday, Jun 28th, 2024 at midnight local hotel time (in New York), you may cancel your reservation for a full refund. Between Friday, Jun 28th, 2024 at midnight and Wednesday, Jul 3rd, 2024 at midnight local hotel time (in New York), you may cancel your reservation for a partial refund. After Wednesday, Jul 3rd, 2024 at midnight local hotel time (in New York), you are not allowed to change or cancel your reservation. If you cancel your reservation after Jul 3, you will still be charged for the full amount.

Refund Policy

Any cancellation received within 5 days prior to arrival date will incur the first night charge. Failure to arrive at your hotel or property will be treated as a No-Show and no refund will be given (Property policy).

Photo Policy

The reservation holder must present a valid photo ID and credit card at check-in. The credit card is required for any additional hotel specific service fees or incidental charges or fees that may be charged by the hotel to the customer at checkout. These #START_PHOTO#charges#END_PHOTO# may be mandatory (e.g., resort fees) or optional (parking, phone calls or minibar charges) and are not included in the room rate.

The property will be undergoing renovations from Fri, Jul 28, 2023 until Tue, Dec 31, 2024. During this period, guests may experience some noise or light disturbances, and some hotel facilities and services may not be available. Requires theme park admission. Early Park Admission begins one (1) hour prior to regular scheduled park opening to either Universal Studios Florida or Universal’s Islands of Adventure as determined by Universal Orlando, and Universal’s Volcano Bay. Valid at select attractions at each park. Attractions are subject to substitutions without notice. Additional restrictions may apply. Excludes select attractions and separately ticketed events. Not valid for guests staying at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites, Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites, Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, and Universal’s Aventura Hotel or for Universal’s Volcano Bay. Valid for the number of guests staying in the room for the length of hotel stay. Additional restrictions apply. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel will be making repairs to the façade of the hotel from July 28, 2023 – December 2024 to maintain the immersive experience of our Italian village. All work will be done during business hours 9am – 6pm. These repairs are being done one section at a time and may be visible to our guests. Guests can expect noise from time to time. Thank you for your understanding as we make these repairs to the distinctive environment we have created for our guests.

Positives: Starbucks on premise, water taxi to park, nice restaurant for dinner, and take away food for nights when the gang was exhausted. The rooms were a good size and the staff were super friendly. When the construction is completed I think this will be an excellent resort.

Negatives: Many things in the room were broken - lamp shade, curtains, shower curtain - and as a result the room looked worn. The construction on site was disappointing, it didnt feel safe at night walking through scaffolding, especially as I was traveling with a group of young women. Other guests reported plastic over their windows, and we woke one morning to a worker working on our windowsill looking right in at us. Would have loved an heads up on that. Overall, for the price paid, it was a poor value.
