Hyatt Regency - Sarasota

Negatives: I would have given the staff highest rating if it weren't for a hotel worker ignoring the "do not disturb" sign on the door at 9AM. My wife was getting dressed and had to jump behind the wall out of vision as they came in the door. He did apologize as he shut the door but train employees to knock before entry! Room smelt like animal shavings or like the carpet was moldy. Would have requested to change rooms if we weren't so tired and knew we would only be there for two nights. Plus we did not spend much time in the room anyways. However, it was still unpleasant to walk into. The ceiling tiles right inside the room door were out of placed, water stained and clearly needed replacing. It is pet friendly and I'm happy there is a place that offers it but the rooms should be a bit more sound proof to accommodate barking as the room 2 doors down had a rather obnoxious dog that barked through the night. Lesser issue but sheet was torn the second day after the room was serviced, would have never bothered me if not for all the other issues we encountered in just the 2 nights spent there.

Negatives: I honestly cannot think of one thing.

Negatives: The initial sign in was miserable and set a bad tone. The room was noisy the first night and the bathroom was very small, especially the shower area.

Negatives: I could not get a glass of red wine at the poolside bar and the indoor bar didn't open until 5pm

Negatives: Front desk staff morning front desk lady, we spoke about a late check out I told her two. When I came back at one she said we spoke on two and confirmed one. I said no I would have never knowing I was going to a hospital in Tampa to see a dying family mem

Negatives: It’s a VERY tired hotel. My first night I couldn’t control the air-conditioning and I froze. The sink had a slow drain, the bathtub plumbing leaked, and I hadn’t even used it, the lampshades were cracked. It was really subpar.
