This was not our first time staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Delray Beach but it was the first time with our kids. The facilities are always clean as usual and staff is always polite and courteous. Upon check in our room wasn’t ready, (10am-ish)so we had to wait quite a while. The kids were getting antsy and tired of waiting but the room still wasn’t ready. The staff felt really bad for making us wait I & upgraded our room to a suite with two king beds. We had double the amount of room, not to mention the kids were thrilled!

They don’t clean the rooms properly. The fire alarm system turns on at no reason. Even at 7:45am you need to wake up and leave the hotel. Please fix this.

The air freshener that is used in the lobby was VERY strong and somewhat offensive. I dreaded each time I had to come back into the lobby. Usually hotels have a very nice fragrance… This was overly fragrant and wasn’t even a pleasant smell.

I booked the room for a much lower rate than what I booked it for. The AC in the first room was not working, when I reported the front desk attendant was very rude and told me they could not accommodate me in another room because they were fully booked. After negotiations they agreed to move us to the 4th floor. We spend a good night of sleep. The bigger problem was that they increased the room rate and we ended paying more than 500 dollars. Double the amount I booked it for!
