There was a water outage in the city and they would not refund money so we stayed and had no way to bathe or even flush the toilet. The air conditioning was also not really working so the room was hot. No apologies no attempt to make up for the water being off. In Birmingham, AL it's not even legal to allow guests to check in during a water outage. They should have refunded our money. It also took us almost an hour to get our car valet parked and get into the hotel. It was a mess from start to finish.

Great maintenance staff when an issue came up, front staff were helpful, good hours for mini mart where vouchers could be used, quiet and comfortable sleep, easy walk to all the famous sites to visit
Negatives:
Plumbing was not the best, a/c did not work all that well (this was rectified), surrounded by areas of a lot of panhandling etc.

It was in a decent location for downtown Atlanta. Plenty of places to eat and stuff within a short walking distance.
Negatives:
Both rooms I booked, along with almost everyone else I spoke to who stayed in the South Towers, were hot. The AC units in each room were barely blowing cool air, not cold. Couldn't get rooms lower than about 70ish degrees, had to buy a fan to sleep at night so I was sweating. The $45/day valet was unorganized on a couple days. One day they "lost" one of our cars. Told us it was picked up already. They had to hunt down the key and luckily it was just misplaced, for over 2 hours. I did watch the valet give a key to a wrong guest. I know this cause the correct owner of the car came up and asked where his key was, and the valet had to ask him to sit to the side while they figured out who the guy was they gave the key to. After locating our missing car, that guy was still there pacing and in a panic cause they didn't know who they gave his key to. I hope they figured it out after I left.
