Staybridge Suites Atlanta - Midtown an IHG Hotel

Negatives: Sofa bed uncomfortable. No bedding for sofa bed Had to request towels Toilet door lock was dodgy Mediocre breakfast

Negatives: Room 1915 was filthy. It was especially visually dirty on the headboard, pillow, shower tub combo, and refrigerator. We found maggots on the couch pullout mattress. There was a sliding balcony door that was nailed shut but it did not assist with the street noise. The bed was saggy and extremely uncomfortable. During breakfast the male attended spayed the table very close to my food and he was very unpleasant when I explained that was not okay. The staff was always overwhelmed when I needed to communicate with them. As soon as you approach the area, they ask you which hotel then send you to the Staybridge side like you are on punishment. I would not recommend.

Negatives: The check-in process was awful they have 2 hotels checking in at one location however your not allowed to check in, but with the hotel you're reserved for. With saying that, the opposite hotel staff are just standing there with no one in line, and our line was well into the lobby. Once checking in, they didn't have the handicap accessible shower we requested. They politely informed us they have 2 rooms in the computer but weren't sure which was accessible. They called housekeeping to ask them to check the 2 rooms. While this occurred, they asked us to sit in the lobby, and they would get back once they were informed. Within our 1-hour wait in the lobby, Ms. Ramona and her trainee did come check on us to apologize it was taking so long. That was only the first 30mins of waiting. They continued checking others in. Finally, my husband and I stood back in line to see about our room. At this point, we had waited over 1hr. They already completed pre-check in taking my ID and credit card, which was charged, but WE HAD NO ROOM. Furthermore, I'm on crutches, and we had been traveling for the day, and my leg needed to be iced and elevated as it was starting to swell. We finally got back up to the checkin desk and were informed they DIDN'T have the room! We just said give us a room because we were tired and I was in pain. Ms. Ramona, however, was very apologetic for our wait and upset for us as well. We finally got to our room in which it was STUFFY, and the AC was cooling. It was already set on 64 but 76 in the room when we entered. We informed Ms. Ramona and someone came to fix it while we went to dinner. Staybridge is a go-to for our family, but not having the room available, the checkin process, and the chaos of breakfast or lack their of that we had to wait for was sadly not the Staybridge's that we know. Only gave a 5 out of 10 because of room size and location.
