The staff was nice and friendly

The hotel was smelly, hallway carpet was dirty, the sheets and pillowcases had stains. I had to ask for new bedding. The front desk gave me four different sets of bedding and they all had stains on them. They only have waffles for breakfast. I slept in my clothes on top of the bedding using blankets that we brought with us

I wouldn't say like, but can I say anything positive? Yes, the water in shower was hot and the room was big.

Disgusting and nasty. I have stayed at Sonesta's before and this is the worst motel grade facility. Don't let the front renovated lobby fool you. They literally stopped caring after that. The smell the moment you hit the hallway is awful, the carpet is beyond dirty and soiled with trash, and clorox in multiple places, the stairways have not been swept or vacuumed. Literally trash on the floor. The room? Same lack of care. The wallpaper literally peeling off, the shower plug broken on the side, mold and dust on vents. Red stains on the chair. The toilet was dirty and ran all night long and then water pours out on your behind when you use it, yuck! The comforter and pillows were dirty. The door bolt does not work (I was first assigned to a room where someone was in there), the TV is petite so you can't see it from the bed....and the bugs....yes, spiders, ants, gnats. I will NEVER stay here again.

The room was on the backside by the exit door and trash was piled up upon coming in and same trash plus more accumulated on the ground. Was stated as Non Smoking yet reeked of cigarettes and marajuana nightly so much we put a towel under the doorway. We were locked out of the room due to a faulty security latch. Staff had to use a Slim Jim to open. Per contract rooms cleaned every 3to 4 days, when requested to have cleaned the 2 nd day ( bathroom only) was not and could not supply cleaning products to use. Ice Machines were not working upstairs or downstairs. Customers dirty towels sat outside in the walkway for hours.
