We received a message in booking.com that checkin is available from 3pm we arrived at 9pm and found out that our booking was cancelled an hour ago. No message via booking.com, leaving us at night without any accomodation. This happend to me first time and i've been travelling cross Europe as well as two weeks in east cost of USA. Very disapointing! You can't be sure if you'll have a place to stay even when reservation was confirmed by hotel..

I don't know because they cancelled my room before we got there...

After driving for nearly 6 hours, I called the hotel to confirm our room (we were about 30 minutes away) and the staff that answered the phone was rude. He told me he cancelled my room because he tried calling me (he called once while I was driving and I pulled over as soon as I safely could and called back) and because my debit card was declined. My card was declined because I was told I could pay when I got to the property and I had the money for the room in savings (I transfer the money if I know we're traveling so I won't spend the money we need). I tried to tell him this, but he just kept being rude and interrupting me.

The electric went out in most of the room on the 2nd night of a 2 day stay. The 15% discount given did not match the level of inconvenience this caused, and the establishment refused to raise this 25%, which would have been more acceptable.
The shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty.
