Fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning, staff wasnt apologetic or cared that everyone panicked to get outside in the cold at 4am

I put the wrong date in and didn’t catch my mistake till it was too late, we had lost our 18 yr old granddaughter to cancer after a five yr battle. I put the date we always had Christmas with her which was 12-31, I understand their policies but I called & explained what happened and gave them the right date, I wanted to stay there. The manager wasn’t nice, said no, we held the room for you. It’s not so much the money I still had to pay but he has no idea ( at least by his response) what losing a grandchild does to your focus about other things. Yes it was my fault but I felt they could have been more understanding.
