Front desk charged me a incidental fee of $100 when I checked in at 930pm. At 115am I was charged another $100 fee. I immediately went downstairs to the front desk. I was told there was nothing they could do about it and that the owners would be in that morning and they would help. I checked out waiting for a phone call from someone and finally received one at about 12 noon. I was told there was nothing they could do for me and that the General Manager would be back Monday. That did nothing for me on vacation out of state with now $200 of pending charges that take 2-3 days to clear. I called La Quinta customer service and they were of absolutely no help getting this resolved. I was just out of luck on the extra $100 I was never supposed to be charged in the first place. Besides the extremely high incidental charge when the room itself was only $115. I will never stay at another La Quinta again after this fiasco. I am waiting on a call from the manager on Monday, which I don’t even expect after the mess I went through.

Positives:
Our room was recently renovated. It looked like some may still be going on based on containers in the parking lot. Very clean. Plenty of towels. Breakfast looked good for the cost of the room. (I didn't eat anything but others liked it) Hot and cold foods. Waffles and or pancakes I think, Canadian bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy) Several good eating places in short walking distance. Also saw an indoor pool and gym.
Negatives:
If you want a dark room for sleeping late in the morning you will be disappointed as there are only blinds that allow light in. There actually could be more lighting in the room at night.

I liked that it had a pool. And that many food places were near by. And there was breakfast.
Negatives:
The breakfast was cold though. We had a hard time sleeping because there were a bunch of kids on the floor above us running all night up and down the hallway. We notified staff but nothing was done.
